Reading outside of the box- 2nd Chance

Image result for lola roseTitle: Lola Rose
Author: Jacqueline Wilson
Opinion: I found this book scary because it has a little bit of violence, it’s also happy and exciting in the chapters when she was starting school. Getting the picture in my mind of what the shaggy school looked like hooked me in.
Recommendation: I recommend this to 9-15yrs because it is quite mature.
Blurb: This book is about a girl called Jayni whose father is always stressed and gets into a little bit of a fight, Jayni hates her father for doing this and she feels sad for her mum, Nikki, every time her Dad hurts her. On the other hand Jayni's little brother Kenny doesn't understand what is going on so he loves his father. One day Jayni's father starts on Jayni and Nikki gets more frightened so Jayni, Nikki and Kenny make a run for it. They arrive in London and stay in this beautiful hotel but decided they have to find a place to live so they find a flat and clean it up a bit. Of course Kenny starts freaking out and misses his father but has his stuffed toy, George with him which keeps him happy. The new family all change their names, Nikki, Victoria Luck, Kenny, Kendall Luck and Jayni, Lola Rose Luck. I bet you're wondering how they are paying for this well Victoria "Nikki" won $10,000 in the lottery but the money is running out. Lola Rose and her family start a new life and even have started school and made new friends. Will their Dad find them?????
