Author: Margaret Mahy (New Zealand Author)
Opinion: This book was encouraging because of the way everyone works together a team to solve the problem. It hooked me in with the vivid descriptive language used to describe the characters, this was captivating as the picture of the characters immediately came to my mind.
Recommendation: I recommend this to 8-14yrs boys and girls because it has a mixture of genders throughout the story. I recommend this book to people who are interested in horror stories.
Blurb: This book is about a young boy called Monty who is allergic to ghosts, one day Monty starts sneezing like nobody’s business and suddenly out of nowhere a ghost appears, tired of Monty’s sneezing. Monty was not frightened but actually glad as he did not have much friends and he could make a new friend. Monty and the ghost “Lulu” become very close friends, but Lulu can’t go anywhere because she needs to stick to the ghost law and stay haunting her car every minute of every day. One day Monty’s mum “Mrs Merry Andrew” sends Monty to a sensible school so that he will learn that ghosts are not real. As soon as Monty enters the principal's office he starts sneezing like crazy, he knows that a ghost is among him.
Will Monty discover the ghost in this haunted school? Read the book and find out!!!
